Spring has sprung

Up until just a couple of days ago it was still rather chilly--42 degrees. That's chilly for Florida this time of year and in spite of the cold, spring is here. While I miss the distinct seasons of the midwest, especially spring when the daffodils bloom for Easter along with the pussy willows, crocus, hyacinths, I'll enjoy my lone amayrilla and blooming confederate jasmine with its intoxicating scent. One of these days I'll get used to the growing season here and plant more than just an amayrilla!

A Blended Life . . .

. . . when two very diffferent lives came together as the spinning of dissimilar fibers together into a unique yarn for a one-of-a-kind creation. We're a blend of families, friends, careers, origins and other contributors when two become one. We've just returned from Princeton, New Jersey, where my husband went to seminary and began his calling to the ministry over 30 years ago--we've been married for half of those years. Now we're on the cusp of blending in another way--he's going to retire from full time ministry to half-time ministry and I will continue to work full time. Maybe he'll greet me at the door with a blender of margaritas now that he'll have some "spare time." That will be refreshing. I'm already looking forward to it.
