One Little Word--intentional
Two of my favorite authors, Debbie Macomber and Ruth Ayres (of ruth ayres writes and Two Writing Teachers) who have for many years chosen a word to focus on during the year. My word for 2012 is intentional. I have many 'good' intentions but I often fail to follow through. Instead of making a perfunctory New Year's Resolution, I'm determined to focus on being intentional. Being intentional about blogging is a start as my last entry was nine months ago at least. Intentional. I will be intentional which also means I will be disciplined. This is my first step and I feel good that I got out of bed to make this post. Now that's intentional!

Spring has sprung
Up until just a couple of days ago it was still rather chilly--42 degrees. That's chilly for Florida this time of year and in spite of the cold, spring is here. While I miss the distinct seasons of the midwest, especially spring when the daffodils bloom for Easter along with the pussy willows, crocus, hyacinths, I'll enjoy my lone amayrilla and blooming confederate jasmine with its intoxicating scent. One of these days I'll get used to the growing season here and plant more than just an amayrilla!
